Gnome terminal and antialiased fonts

Finally decided I wanted the classic 15-year old xterm fixed font on my gnome-terminal as well:

zcat /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc/6x13.pcf.gz > ~/.fonts/6x13.pcf

Now select fixed from your font preferences and off you go..

Ray Wilson - Another Day

Spamassassin 3.0

Apparently it still has some issues, especially memory consuming ones.

<em>
There are places I don't remember
There are times and days, they mean nothing to me
I've been looking through some of them old pictures
They don't serve to jog my memory
I'm not waking in the morning, staring at the walls these days
I'm not getting out the boxes, spread all over the floor
I've been looking through some of them old pictures
Those faces they mean nothing to me no more

I travel light
You travel light
Everything I've done
You say you can justify, mmm you travel light
I can't pick them out, I can't put them in this saddle bag
Some things you have to lose along the way
Times are hard, I'll only pick them out, wish I was going back
Times are good, you'll be glad you ran away

Do you remember, how much you loved me?
You say you have no room in that thick old head
Well it comes with the hurt and the guilt, and the memories
If I had to take them with me I would never get from my bed
There's a crack in the roof where the rain pours through
That's the place you always decide to sit
Yeah I know I'm there for hours, the water running down my /your face
Do you really think you keep it all that well hid?

No but I travel light
You don't travel light
Everything I've done
It's just a lie, you don't travel light
I'm travelling light
No you don't travel light
I travel light
No, no, you don't travel light
I'm travelling light
You don't travel light

Xfce4 and mutt

Switched back to Xfce4 and mutt for the moment, given that I don't really intend to increase the available ram on my laptop. The amount of mail you can handle with mutt, compared to pretty much any graphical client is still fairly impressive.

Also bought Pixies Tromp Le Monde

Nailed "South Of No North" by Bukoswki. Quite a read. I've got a line-up of books to read, that I'll probably finish (if focused) in a few years. I should probably hit the Majakovskij story I have laying on my desk.. Also managed to finally fix up my photo section to at least display half-way decently...doing web page related stuff is just such a plain bore... But again "original" is getting nicer and nicer..too bad mozilla doesn't seem to dig the "Filter: gray"..it is a nifty effect

Milano Film Festival 2004

The annual Milano Film Festival 2004 is over. It was good fun, we went pretty much every night modulo one or two nights. I didn't make it to see the full-length movies as well (besides "Capone"), but some short movies were just brilliant. Photos are up. 7:35 de la mañana, di Nacho Vigalondo was my definite favourite. The only thing that sucked was saturday's party at "Cantieri Binda", or I guess that I'm just not that much into that music.

Mark Lanegan - Stay

Dead

Biking my way home after movies & beer, a bunch of flashing lights 100 meters away from my apartment, and there is the body lying dead, run over by a big car. You can't really stop thinking..
